Pantherophis obsoletus- Western Rat Snake-Colubridae-can be up to 75 + inches long, lives in Eastern counties of Kansas as well as other states, is nocturnal during the summer

Short-nose Gar

Lepisosteus platostomus- Short nosed Gar- Lepisosteidae-you may catch them by entangling their teeth in with fishing wire or bowfishing, the largest one caught in Texas was at Lake Lavon by Dallas (close to a little school I taught at in Princeton Texas, not the college)  11.15 lbs and 37 inches long!!!

Mustela vision

American Mink -Mustelidae (family) Predators are coyotes, the Great Horned Owl, red foxes and wolves.  I am not sure but we may have one of these in our pond and we had a red fox too.
