Consideration for Forensic Research...

Oliver found the following article that has implication for forensics research in the United States.  Chrysomya megacephala (the oriental latrine fly), a non-native fly species that was originally from Asian and Africa, has broadened its distribution from California, Texas, New Mexico, and Louisiana to as far north as Indiana. This could be a game changer for forensic entomology in the Midwest! We should look for this species during our forensics research.  See the article here
